BIOGRAPHY
Danielle Taylor is an Oakland native. Born and raised in Sobrante Park, she began playing the violin in 4th grade at Sobrante Park Elementary School. Danielle began taking private lessons in 6th grade and continued on to play with the Berkeley Youth Orchestra, the Oakland Youth Orchestra, and as a member of the Virtuoso Program at San Domenico School. Danielle graduated from Oberlin Conservatory and College with a B.M. in Violin Performance and a B.A. in African American Studies. Danielle has performed internationally since she was 14 years old with orchestra tours including Italy, Australia, New Zealand (with the Oakland Youth Orchestra) and China (Oberlin Conservatory).
Danielle now has a violin studio in Berkeley and also works as a music teacher for Elmhurst Community Prep and Alliance Academy in East Oakland. She regularly works with the Oakland Youth Orchestra as a Seating Audition and Sectional Coach.
